Hugo Chavez died recently on March 5, 2013, and the death of the outspoken Venezuelan leader has left the country divided. While elections for a new ruler were held 30 days after his death, the death of the longtime leader has affected other counties of the world as well.

Former professional basketball player Dennis Rodman recently visited North Korea in late February. Rodman accompanied the Harlem Globetrotters to film a television documentary in the hermit nation.

Besides officially-backed visits, travel to North Korea for U.S. citizens is generally considered unwise. However, private travel to North Korea does not require prior clearance before visiting.
